A Bend man who was found guilty of shooting Taylor Wyss outside Duda’s Billiards Bar in August 2023 will be sentenced June 1 in Deschutes County Circuit Court. Caleb Cegers was found guilty of manslaughter in the first degree, assault and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon by a Deschutes County Circuit Court jury April 15 at the conclusion of his week-long trial. Cegers was found not guilty of murder in the second degree. Cegers, his girlfriend Sadie Cole, and their friends went to Duda’s, stepping in and out of the bar so a friend could leave. There were eight to 10 others in the bar, including Wyss and his girlfriend. When Cegers’ group came back in for the second time, a fight began after Cegers’ girlfriend punched the bartender’s assistant in the face several times. Cegers tried to pull Cole back.
