In 2025, the Austrian Nightjet retired its Berlin-to-Paris sleeper train route, deferring to European Sleeper , a company expanding its network to connect two of Europe’s biggest capitals: Paris and Berlin. This new train route, which launched in March 2026, departs from Berlin on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, stopping in Liège and Brussels. It travels from Paris back to Berlin on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays via the same route.
