A lorry driver has admitted causing the death of a woman who was struck on the head by crane equipment while pushing a pram. Rebecca Ableman, 30, was with her two-year-old daughter Autumn on the pavement by the B1050 in Willingham, Cambridgeshire, when she was hit in September 2022. Kevin Miller, 71, of Gayton Road, King's Lynn, Norfolk, admitted causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving at a hearing in Peterborough Crown Court, officials said. Court staff said he was due to be sentenced on 14 April. Miller had gone on trial last year after denying causing death by dangerous driving - when detail of the incident emerged. The trial was halted in April and a new trial was due to start this week. Ms Ableman, who lived in Willingham, had left a farm shop in Station Road with her daughter when she was struck by the equipment at about 11:15 BST.
