A new video appears to capture the moment an incoming United Airlines flight clipped a light pole and semi-truck as it landed at Newark Liberty International Airport on Sunday. In the video, which has circulated widely on social media but has not been officially confirmed by authorities, United flight 169 can be seen flying in low into Newark, coming perilously close to a passing truck on the New Jersey Turnpike. “The aircraft landed safely , taxied to the gate normally and no passengers or crew were injured,” United said in a statement when asked by The Independent about the video . “Our maintenance team is evaluating damage to the aircraft. We will conduct a rigorous flight safety investigation into the incident and our crew has been removed from service as part of the process.” The Independent has contacted Newark International Airport and the National Transportation Safety Board for comment on the video. Including the pilots and crew, 231 people were on board at the time of the incident.…
