Newly released bodycam footage captured the moment an NYPD cop opened fire on a defiant machete-wielding nut who slashed three straphangers at Grand Center Terminal last month. The harrowing video released by the NYPD Friday shows two officers patrolling the transit hub on April 11 when Anthony Griffin started walking up the stairs from the 4, 5, 6, subway platform clutching a large machete. Cops then frantically ordered the 44-year-old to drop the weapon over two dozen times. Griffin flared his arms wide while gripping the roughly 17-inch knife in his right hand and erratically shouting “shoot me, please,” before running back down the stairs onto the platform.
