15s threshold

I've always been telling myself before buying stuff "do I deserve this" before buying. Even for small things like a coffee or a new top. I grew up in a household where spending on yourself felt selfish somehow and I think I just carried that into adulthood without realizing it. It's only recently that I started questioning why I feel guilty treating myself after working full time and paying all my bills. Like at what point does it become okay to just buy the thing without the mental checklist? Did you ever get over this and what shifted for you? submitted by /u/Sea_Strawberry6846 [link] [comments]
