Apple TV has unveiled a first look at Season 5 of its longest-running sitcom Trying , as Celia Imrie joins the cast. Check out the pics below and above as Apple gets set to launch Trying with a weekly drop from July 8. Season 5 of the warm family drama finds Nikki (Esther Smith) and Jason (Rafe Spall) dealing with the consequences of Princess (Scarlett Rayner) and Tyler’s (Cooper Turner) biological mother Kat (Charlotte Riley) turning up at their doorstep, and the whirlwind of chaos she brings into their settled family life. Imrie, fresh from a star turn on Celebrity Traitors UK, The Paper star Gbemisola Ikumelo and Colin Morgan ( Belfast ) have boarded the new season, joining an ensemble with Darren Boyd ( Down Cemetery Road ), Siân Brooke ( Blue Lights ) and Phil Davis ( Vera Drake ).
