So when I decided to make the leap across the Hudson to Jersey City , my typical pre-moving anxieties were heightened by a sense that I was giving up on this apocryphal dream of being a true New Yorker. And now, just as another lease cycle looms on the horizon for me, there’s no doubt in my mind that JC is where I want to be. To draw from another well worn phrase, distance has only made my heart grow fonder for New York, especially on sunny days when the skyline looks like it’s been plucked straight from the b-reel of my parents’ Seinfeld and Sex and the City boxsets.
