Apple has released a new version of GarageBand for Mac. The new version finally includes an app icon optimized for macOS Tahoe. GarageBand now includes a macOS Tahoe app icon Apple released macOS Tahoe to the public on September 15, 2025, over 200 days ago, so it’s great to see GarageBand finally receive the love it deserves. As part of macOS 26, Apple forced all app icons to use the same rounded rectangle shape as iOS and iPadOS apps. Icons that don’t conform are squished down into a round-rect with a gray background.
