Fender Pure Vintage 65 or ToneRider I’m trying to get a pickup recommendation. I am just beginning to learn to play. I wanted to learn as much as possible about the guitar itself before I started playing. In doing so I learned I love working on guitars. I have a 2009 Squier, Alder body. I have installed a new fender bridge with pure vintage saddles, full size tremolo block, Fender Gotoh locking tuners, new 56/59 1 ply pick guard. I have a new Starr Guitar Systems 7-way harness. I have copper shielded all cavities and am installing a full aluminum shield under the pick guard. I have 2 sets of pickups, the Fender Pure Vintage 65s and ToneRider Surfaris. I have thought about the ToneRider Pure Vintage and City limits as well. Does anyone have recommendations? As I said I’m just learning to play. I’m a bit concerned the Pure Vintage 65s may be less forgiving and harder to learn with. I am using 2 different amps right now.…
