Lufthansa is one step closer toward offering a more competitive business class product on its A380 with the debut of a new business class seat on its superjumbo jet. First Lufthansa A380 With New Business Class Takes Off Lufthansa has debuted its first Airbus A380 (registration D-AIMC) featuring an all-new business class cabin, a long-overdue upgrade for the carrier’s flagship superjumbo. The first retrofitted aircraft entered service on April 23, 2026 operating from Munich (MUC) to Los Angeles (LAX) on LH452. Lufthansa’s existing A380 business class product was badly outdated, with a dense 2-2-2 layout and limited privacy.
