By Nancy Dillon Cardi B scored another court victory Monday when a federal judge in Texas dismissed the copyright infringement lawsuit claiming her hit song “Enough (Miami)” stole beats from the 2021 song “Greasy Frybread” from the acclaimed FX series Reservation Dogs. Plaintiffs Joshua Fraustro and Miguel Aguilar, known professionally as the production duo Kemika1956, sued the Grammy-winning rapper nearly two years ago, claiming she violated the copyright for “Greasy Frybread” by “reproducing, distributing, and publicly performing the infringing work” without permission. They later amended their complaint to add more claims, including defamation. Cardi challenged the lawsuit on several grounds, including her argument that “Greasy Frybread” was not protected by copyright. Her lawyers said the plaintiffs initially brought a federal copyright infringement claim but later shifted to Texas law.…
