I know this has been asked multiple times but looking for advice on handling closing costs. Today is Friday and we are after business hours so moves won’t happen until Monday morning. Closing is this coming Friday. Our money for closing is with Ally, an online bank. Trust me, I know I should have a brick and mortar. I’m working on this after this headache. Anyway, our options at this point are: Order a cashier’s check from Ally on Monday, pay to have it overnighted, and cross our fingers it arrives in the promised 1-2 business days for closing Friday. Theoretically it should arrive with a 1-2 day buffer. Wire the money. Wire sounds much more convenient and less stressful as far as timing goes, but the thought of wire fraud terrifies me with that sum of money. Our title company is 15 minutes from us so I am considering going in person to confirm the wire information before sending if that is the route we choose. Any and all advice is appreciated as I spiral thinking about moving such a big amount of money!!…
