im currently a grad student in school for journalism. i go to school in nyc so ive met many people working in the industry through my classes and professors. ive also had coffee chats with recruiters and editors at places im interested in. im also going to NABJ later in august in hopes i can secure some sort of employment by the time i graduate. im also starting an remote internship at a small newsroom this summer, but i doubt they have a budget to hire me after it. im partially asking for validation in my networking efforts, but i also want to know what more i can be doing? my goal is to secure employment in the industry by graduation whether its FT, PT, or contract work. ive met many people but so far haven't landed a job offer or anything... submitted by /u/Sad-Friendship1841 [link] [comments]
