The foul-mouthed teddy bear wants an Emmy. Peacock has submitted “ Ted ” across 19 categories at the Primetime Emmy Awards, Variety has learned exclusively, mounting one of the streamer’s most expansive comedy campaigns to date for the Seth MacFarlane-led series following a record-setting second season. The push lands MacFarlane on this year’s Emmy ballot in six distinct capacities. On “Ted,” he is submitted as an executive producer, a writer and in outstanding character voice-over performance for his work as the title teddy bear.
