In a newly released trailer for Prime Video’s “Legally Blonde” prequel, “Elle,” we see the titular character weathering her family’s move to rainy Seattle. What, like it’s hard? Apparently it is hard for a high-school-aged Elle, played by Lexi Minetree. The new series will follow the Woods family as they relocate to Seattle after Elle’s father (played by Tom Everett Scott) lands a new job in medicine in Washington state. It’s not the Seattle of 2026 we’ll see in this prequel series, which debuts July 1 — the year is 1995, when grunge was transforming the Emerald City into a hot spot for alternative culture.
