Xbox Gamer Gets Nearly 8,000-Year Ban Over ‘Forza Horizon 6’ Leak

A player accused of leaking early footage of the Xbox -exclusive Forza Horizon 6 has reportedly been hit with one of the wildest punishments gaming has seen in years: a ban lasting nearly 8,000 years. According to Kotaku , the player, a modder known online as DVS Squad, was among several users targeted by developer Playground Games after gameplay clips from the racing title surfaced online ahead of launch. The enforcement action locked him out of Forza titles until the year 9999. The massive suspension followed claims that leaked builds of Forza Horizon 6 were circulating before release. DVS Squad later uploaded a seven-minute response video explaining that the ban didn’t stop him from accessing the game for long. He claimed no cheating software was used to obtain the footage and said he was already familiar with bypassing enforcement systems tied to modding. “I knew the risk, I simply didn’t care,” he said in the video.…
