Published 4:47 pm Monday, April 27, 2026 Former Beaver baseball player and Cleveland Guardians top prospect called up, set to make MLB debut Former Oregon State baseball second baseman Travis Bazzana is going to the show. The Cleveland Guardians are calling up Bazzana, 23, to the big league roster, ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported Monday night. Cleveland used the No. 1-overall pick on Bazzana in the 2024 MLB Draft, following an Oregon State career that saw him rewrite the Beavers’ record books. Bazzana was the 2024 Pac-12 Player of the Year and a finalist for the Golden Spikes Award the same season. A unanimous all-American as a junior, Bazzana set the Beavers’ single-season home run record with 28 bombs. He finished his Oregon State career with 45 homers over three seasons and a .360 batting average in 184 games in orange and black. Upon his debut, Bazzana will become the 46th Oregon State Beaver to play Major League Baseball. The Sydney native also becomes the 39th Australian to play in the big leagues.…
