Interscope Records has immortalized the 2012 film for the first time on a habanero orange vinyl, as a celebration of Earth Day. The eco-conscious materials the label chose for the record are also highly intentional, aligning with The Lorax’s storyline about environmental destruction and the dangers of unregulated industrial greed.
To that end, the soundtrack has an extended pre-order window, with an Aug. 14 ship date, to minimize the release's carbon footprint by shipping via sea freight.
