I am creating a D&D Character that has a lot of religious trauma.
She was born and raised in a cult thought to be "the vessel" for her God. She was completely sheltered, isolated from the entire congregation, and only had contact with the leader (who she calls "Pa" because he is the only parent she knows)

She has no idea how old she is, how many years she has been there, but is now on the run after escaping. I am trying to do research on trauma responses, the way life in the cult would have been for her, and how she is now reacting to the outside work (except being basically a super literal toddler who does not know anything)

Any recommendations on movies about cults, brainwashing, religious extremes or really anything you think might fit would be helpful! TIA
