Purchasing a booth rental salon I’ve been a hairdresser for 25 years, worked at the same salon for 20 years. The owners of the business (who also work there as stylists) approached me asking if I want to buy it from them. They are wanting to retire soon. One wants to retire in 3 years, the other in 5. The salon is 20 years old and hasn’t been updated. It’s a booth rental and they have about 85% occupancy rate currently. They are about to sign a new 5 year lease and wanted to be out from under it if possible before they sign, then have it transferred over to me with the same terms they negotiate. They are working with an advisor from the SBDC to help with the negotiations with the property management company, as well as to help them in negotiating the Sale of the business. I’ve looked over their P&ls for the last 3 years, as well as their tax returns. It looks like the SDE is about 65-70k.…
