Global private equity investment in autonomous vehicles in the first four months of 2026 surged to its highest level in at least 10 years.
Between Jan. 1 and April 28, transaction value in the sector totaled $23.26 billion, compared with $10.18 billion in all of 2025, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data.
The number of deals in the first four months of the year stood at 54, representing about 31% of the 172 deals recorded for the full year 2025.
