Meta is working on a new WhatsApp feature that lets users upload documents directly to Meta AI from the in-chat attachment menu. Here are the details. As WhatsApp users who rely on Meta AI know, the assistant’s file support has been fairly limited so far. Currently, users can either upload photos from the iPhone’s gallery or take a new one from within the chat. From there, users can ask questions about the contents of the photo. However, Meta AI still lags behind other AI-powered assistants that also allow users to upload documents, enabling them to ask questions about a file, such as a lengthy spreadsheet, or to discuss the contents of a PDF directly with the assistant.
