April 30, 2026 at 2:53 pm Seattle Times breaking news reporter Five Tacoma high school students and an adult security guard were injured in a stabbing Thursday afternoon during an “altercation” at Foss High School, police said. Four of the students were seriously injured and taken to nearby hospitals, according to Tacoma police spokesperson Officer Shelbie Boyd. The fifth student, who is suspected of attacking the others, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is in police custody. The guard was also taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to Boyd and Tacoma Fire Department spokesperson Chelsea Shepherd.
