Masters of the Universe is one of the biggest question marks going into the summer movie season. On the one hand, it’s Travis Knight, the director of Bumblebee , bringing one of the marquee franchises of the ’80s to the big screen with all the bells and whistles. It looks like a lot of fun . But it’s opening on a difficult weekend , we don’t know if modern audiences will care about the muscle-bound franchise, and then there’s the villain. Everyone knows that He-Man’s main adversary is Skeletor, and he’s in full effect in Masters of the Universe . In fact, in this movie, things begin with Skeletor winning and ruling over Eternia. The issue is that Skeletor is played by controversial and polarizing actor Jared Leto. And though we don’t see Leto’s face in the film, everyone wants to know what his Skeletor is going to be like.
