A lot of these places weren't built as art pieces, but as advertising or local landmarks that just stuck around long after their original purpose faded. Part of what makes them interesting is that they're not polished or curated. They're leftovers from different eras of roadside culture that still happen to be standing. They also break up the monotony of driving, and can make a trip feel like the drive itself is part of the fun. The pink dinosaur in the first photo is from Vernal Utah's Dinosaur Land, which is much more than just a roadside statue. They have a full-on dinosaur museum, and many outdoor activities like hiking and exploring.…
