Very often i will earn the 3x potion the day before. then the next morning I will want to do just one quick lesson to get the early bird chest and ensure I keep my streak for the day. I will usually use my night owl chest at this point.

But then, even though I haven’t selected using it, and even though I still have 14 hours left on it or whatever…it will then force me to use the 3x potion when really I would have liked to save that for the evening when I have more time to do more lessons.

This is such bad design.
