Lil Tjay is taking promotion into his own hands, calling out some of the internet’s biggest streamers to tap into his latest release. Shortly dropping his fourth studio album They Just Ain’t You on Friday (May 1), the Bronx rapper flooded his Instagram Stories with messages tagging creators directly, aimed at getting them to promote the new project. In one post, he tagged DDG with the blunt request, “React to that album boi.” Another message nudged Plaqueboymax to check it out, writing, “Might as well react too [sic] the album too since we cool now.” He also called out N3on, asking, “Where that reaction at,” as he continued pushing for visibility across streaming platforms. Tjay appeared to have a sense of humor about the whole thing, even sharing a TikTok created by a fan page of N3on giving a hyperbolic reaction to the music.
