When you think about everything the brain does, you’ll realize it handles both voluntary and involuntary activities. Your movements, your reflexes, your thoughts, your emotions, your coordination , almost everything happening in the body is connected to the brain. That means the brain was never designed to focus on just one thing alone. So when a person sits down to read for several hours without rest, the brain gets tired. Why? Because it was created for many functions, many activities, many responsibilities, yet we force it to stay locked in on one task for too long. Sometimes, I feel like students are too hard on themselves. Especially medical students. People act like resting is a crime. Like if you’re not reading 24 hours a day, then you’re unserious.…
