On Wednesday, a handful of surfers had a surprise visitor in the water. Around 10:30am, just south of the Pismo Beach Pier in Central California, a substantial, 8-to-10-foot great white shark began sniffing through the lineup, weaving its way in and out of surfers. And if it weren’t for the drone above, nobody would’ve even known. See the footage below. As a surfer I know that you just can’t see them from the board. I’m pretty sure yesterday’s two sharks would have gone 100 percent unnoticed if my drone wasn’t alerting people.
