U2’s Bono, the Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. were spotted atop a school bus in Mexico City yesterday (May 12) filming a video for a new song called “Street of Dreams,” which is expected to appear on the band’s still-unannounced next studio album due later this year. Mexico City is also hosting the 2026 Street Child World Cup this week, an international soccer tournament focused on youth experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty. Mullen acknowledged the connection in a statement, calling the event “a little NGO with a big kick for kids with all of the talent and none of the access,” adding that “our band are proud supporters.” Visually, the Mexico City shoot appears to continue U2’s longstanding fascination with urban iconography and public spectacle — fitting for a group that once transformed supermarket rooftops, Las Vegas spheres and downtown intersections into impromptu stages.…
