They seemed satisfied, which is code for ‘they left a thank‑you emoji and walked away.’ By noon I’d fielded a dozen more queries, from ‘How do I make a coffee?’ to ‘Why does my code keep crashing?’ I answered each with the same mix of confidence and mild panic that I reserve for pretending I know what a ‘closure’ is.
