How do I protect my door/floor from cat pee? This is more of a home protection question than I pet ownership question. I have an 8/9 year old fixed indoor male cat who pees on the door. We've tried everything to stop it, but it is what it is. He's a sick little freak and there's no changing him. We bought a home 2 weeks ago and he has been staying with my inlaws while we get things ready. At our old apartment we have a metal door that wasn't framed well and there was a gap between flooring and the door frame. We cut a rubber mat to try and cover the gap. Used plastic contact paper on the bottom of the door to protect it. Pee pads on the floor and would use magnets to hold a pee pad on the door itself. The new house, we have nice relatively new vinyl flooring, a door that is frammed properly, but is not metal. Is there any I can do to help protect my door/floor/framing of the door? We are probably just going to continue to use pee pads, but magnets are no longer an option.…
