Video game streamers are getting scarier than ever, thanks to a new gaming psychological thriller that adds a new deadly troll to the mix. “ Streamer ,” a new film from writer/director Justin Hughes, has added four players to its cast, Variety can confirm. Freddy Piazza (the short film “Overdue,” independent stage productions of “Face Divided” and “9 Circles”), Rachel Alig (“Mistake,” “Found Footage”), Francesca Rowe (microdramas like “Playing it Real” and “Broken Queen”) and K.C. Wolf (“Yesterday”) have joined the film, which is set to film in Los Angeles and Ventura this spring. Per the official logline, “The story follows Teddy (Piazza), a popular yet divisive internet streamer who gets drawn into a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse against a mysterious troll with a vendetta against him.” Popular on Variety The film is Hughes’ feature debut.…
