Arbor View’s boys volleyball team, No. 5 in the Review-Journal’s Class 5A rankings, defeated No. 3 Palo Verde 22-25, 25-21, 26-24, 43-41 Monday night at Arbor View.

Risden Miller led Arbor View (24-13-1, 4-3 5A Southern League) with 21 kills and 12 digs. Kenyon Wickliffe added 12 kills for the Aggies, and Owen Wenger recorded 10 kills and five blocks.

Evan Ditmar had 25 kills and 12 digs for Palo Verde (16-5, 4-3). Jagger Mendenhall recorded 48 assists for the Panthers and Andrew Gutierrez had 21 kills.

Arbor View next plays at No. 2 Shadow Ridge at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Palo Verde plays at No. 4 Basic at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
