I'm making a controller with an Arduino Pro Micro, the parts are 8 tactile push buttons, 2 joysticks, and an MPU6050 (gyro). When I soldered the MPU to the Arduino ( I soldered it to GND, VCC, SDA, and SCL) and then I plugged it into my laptop at first it didn't work. I even tested with some code to see if it's connected properly or not (It was not), so I re soldered the VCC and both i2c pins. Then with when I tried to plug it in to my laptop again the Arduino didn't light up or even connect. At first when it happened I tried different cables to connect my Arduino to my laptop, that didn't work. After that I soldered off the wires on both TX and RX because I was using them as digital pins thinking it might effect the USB connection, that also didn't work. Lastly I fully soldered off the MPU, now the Arduino works. I don't know why the MPU does that and I'm asking for help on how to fix it, I'm genuinely lost submitted by /u/PoAnimation [link] [comments]
