Sony just announced fresh price hikes for the PlayStation in several East Asian countries. The move comes just a month after similar price hikes were announced for the U.S., UK, Europe, and Japan, with the platform holder blaming global economic conditions for the steep changes . In South Korea, for example, the disc drive PS5 will go up to ₩948,000 ($644), the PS5 Digital Edition to ₩858,000 ($583), and the PS5 Pro to ₩1,298,000 ($882), Inven Global reports . The PlayStation Portal is also going up to ₩378,000 ($250). The overall change amounts to a 43-percent jump from what the all-digital PS5 originally launched at in South Korea.
