Hey guys, been researching this for a bit now. Have a game plan but want to make sure its safe to execute.

Soundproofing this room in the basement. Here is the plan.

Framed 2x6 walls staggered studs. Rockwool insulation, resilient chanel, 2 layers of 5/8 drywall with green acoustic sealant.

Ceiling, I have insulated ducts and put sound dampening on the vent leading to the room.(AC INFINITY)

Rockwool insulation, clips + hat chanel, 2 layers drywall with green acoustic sealant.

Used the green sealant in all spots around framing.

Door is solid core MDF, with a automatic door bottom for a seal.

Electrical boxes - covered by putty.

My question is, the clips + hat chanel at 16" OC will I be able to handle the weight of the drywall? Am I good to use without any issues?

Am I missing anything else you would recommend or do? Its a gaming room, want to make sure nobody hears me outside of the room while gaming / watching sports.

All help would be greatly appreciated.
