Should I be stressed about my finances? Posting here because I’ve (28F) realized that over the past few weeks I’ve been more stressed about my finances, and I’m not sure if it’s reasonable stress or if I should chill tfo. So here’s the picture: I currently make 80k a year, and have 20k in an employer retirement account (9% required contributions) and am working towards building 6mo of expenses (about $6k saved currently, 14% take home pay going towards it each paycheck). I have $1500 in student debt and no other debt. There are some external factors at play. I have a 2 week European trip coming up in June, and I am allocating funds to cash flow the trip so that’s built into my budget. Additionally, me and my boyfriend will be moving across the country in August for him to start a new job, and I will start applying for jobs in the next few weeks. I’m pretty obsessive about my finances and making sure I stick to my budget.…
