Taking a page from the Netflix playbook with the series finale of Stranger Things, Prime Video’s series finale of The Boys will hit theaters in 4DX, it was announced on the show’s X handle this AM. “In two weeks, we’re going out with a bang. Literally, because ya might vibrate watchin’ the series finale in 4DX. Get yer mitts on a seat with the purchase of a concession voucher, which is good towards sweets or soda the day of. See ya May 19 at 9:30 p.m,” read the post. The finale will screen in theaters the day before it hits Prime on May 20. With Stranger Things, due to guild contractual issues with talent, Netflix and exhibitors couldn’t charge ticket prices to moviegoers for the series finale which took place on New Year’s Eve into New Year’s Day. Instead, fans reserved their seats for $20, which got them a concession voucher.
