A lounge chair sold on Amazon is being recalled after a report that an individual’s finger was amputated while adjusting the chair, officials said Thursday. The recall of the chair, made by the company Giantex, was initiated after the chair was found to pose an “amputation risk” if a customer’s finger is placed in a “pinch point when adjusting,” the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on its website . Approximately 1,155 chairs are included in the recall. The outdoor lounge chair model number is NP1005NY, which can be found on the front of the chair’s packaging. “The recalled lounge chairs are blue and measure 76 inches long, 23 inches wide, and 13 inches high. They have a five-position adjustable locking system, and the backrest height can be adjusted from 13.5 inches to 26.5 inches,” the CPSC said. The chair was sold on Amazon and directly through the company’s website from August 2023 through October 2025. The chair sold for between $75 and $90, according to the notice.…
