i was 100% convinced the google may core update killed my site. checked everything. no manual actions, no technical issues. just dead traffic. refreshed search console about forty times then someone in the comments asked who i was targeting i said US customers they said. oh. memorial day weekend i am not from the US. i had no idea memorial day is one of the lowest traffic weeks of the year for anything not summer related. so i had a core update AND a major holiday hitting at the same time and i was sitting here thinking i broke something nothing was broken. i just did not know my own market's calendar has anyone else been burned by not knowing their target market's holiday schedule? curious how common this is for people building from outside the US submitted by /u/Sad-Baby96 [link] [comments]
