A Texas teenager who killed another teen is facing murder charges. TMZ reports that Karmelo Anthony’s trial begins on Monday, where he will be tried for fatally stabbing Austin Metcalf at a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas. The trial is set to start with jury selection. The incident happened on April 2, 2025, when both teens were 17. They got into a dispute over seating at the track meet, where they were both competing. The two teens were on rival teams, and Metcalf asked Anthony to leave his team’s tent during the meet. The situation escalated when Anthony allegedly brandished a knife from his bag and stabbed Metcalf in the chest. Anthony said he acted in self-defense, claiming that Metcalf became physical with him when Anthony told Metcalf not to touch him. After the altercation, Anthony allegedly fled as Metcalf died in his twin brother, Hunter’s, arms. Anthony was arrested, and a grand jury later indicted him for murder when Metcalf succumbed to his injuries.…
