A woman was killed early Tuesday morning in the central Las Vegas Valley in what appears to be a domestic violence homicide. Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Robert Price said at about 3 a.m. 911 dispatchers received a call from a man asking for medical assistance for his wife at a home in the 4300 block of Esmeralda Avenue, near West Sahara Avenue and South Valley View Boulevard. “When medical arrived on scene they entered the residence and located a deceased female lying on the ground,” Price said. “They immediately knew that this was suspicious and requested assistance.” Officers arrived and spoke to the woman’s husband. “He stated that him and his wife had gotten into an argument earlier that night and something bad had happened,” Price said. The man was taken into custody by police. “It appears the husband and wife were in a verbal altercation in reference to the wife wanting to leave and take the children with her,” Price said.…
