Southland The Ensign St Andrew’s Church will have a little something for everyone at its annual fundraiser this Saturday. From 10am until 2pm there will be goods of all shapes and sizes from books to homemade baking and preserves available for cash. Convener Margaret Martyn said it was going to be a bit different than previous years, opting for more of a garage-style vibe than a fair, but would continue the good times and service people can expect after 60 years of sales. "We’ve made a few changes this year. The sale contains both new and second-hand goods — and lots of them. We’ll have a small sales table with produce, baking, jams, books, jigsaws — which are donated by the congregation. "It’s always a good sale, and this year we hope it’ll be better than ever," she said. Mrs Martyn said every year people came from near and far to support the fundraiser. "I’d say come along and see what we’ve got. This year it’s different. It’s bigger than ever. It’s better than ever," she said.…
