I’ve been working with a tutor since January and I grew up around Spanish speakers (mom second language, dads first language) but I moved to a non Spanish speaking community and really had to start form the beginning. Considering I’ve been taking this very seriously since the start of the year, I’ve made a lot of progress and my tutoring sessions at this point are already entirely in Spanish (not the greatest, but we aren’t entirely lost lol). I put all my shows on Spanish, my video games are in Spanish, and my social media algorithm were already Spanish influenced, but it’s much more so now. What Duolingo has helped with is vocabulary.
