Apple has announced a new subscription model for the App Store designed to bridge the gap between flexible monthly payments and the discounted rates typically associated with annual plans. This update allows developers to offer a 12-month commitment option, where users pay a reduced monthly fee in exchange for agreeing to a full year of service. Under this new structure, users can benefit from the lower pricing usually reserved for upfront annual payments without the need for a large initial expenditure . While the payments are processed monthly, the user is bound by a contract to complete all twelve installments. Apple specifies that while a subscription can be canceled at any time to prevent it from renewing for a subsequent year, the monthly payments must continue until the current 12-month obligation is fulfilled.
