Dua Lipa is suing Samsung after the brand allegedly used an image of her on its product packaging without her permission. Variety reports that the lawsuit was filed on Friday (May 8) in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. In the suit, Lipa alleges that Samsung has featured a picture of Lipa performing on stage at the Austin City Limits Festival on packaging for TVs since 2025. Lipa said when she discovered this, she reached out to have the picture removed from the packaging, but Samsung rejected her request. “Ms. Lipa’s face was prominently used for a mass marketing campaign for a consumer product without her knowledge, without consideration, and as to which she had no say, control, or input whatsoever,” reads the complaint. The commercial impact of Lipa’s image is also highlighted in the lawsuit, which includes screenshots of posts showing fans claiming that they bought the TV because of her.…
