The Wrestling Federation of India’s (WFI) president Sanjay Singh, in an exclusive interview to The Indian Express, said the rules could not be bent , no matter a wrestler’s stature. Singh said this in reference to the closed doors on wrestler Vinesh Phogat’s chances of making it to the Asian Games trials on May 30. This is because of the paucity of time between her giving a detailed reply to a show cause notice and the WFI disciplinary committee taking a call on her participation eligibility.
