I submitted an application for the PAYE plan and it was denied. MOHELA’s reasoning was that it was one of the following: “you requested your federal student loans to be placed in the IDR plan that would bill you the lowest possible payment amount, you selected more than one plan (I did not) or you did not select a plan (I did)” For context I’m currently on the SAVE plan (or was) and am working toward PSLF. My AGI on my current tax return was $54,599. I called FAFSA and at first the rep was confused. When she looked into it she said I was denied because I “make too much money” Has anyone experienced this?
